"One More Last Show," I began here, and now I'm here again.
Wow, now here’s a blast from the past. Susan Stratton walked into Cotton Etc., last Thursday and asked if I would step up for “One More Show,” a city run commerce show where I got my start when we moved back from Hawaii in 1995. Henry was 3 yrs. and Billy was hustling to find his place back in Tallahassee’s construction industry, even though he just constructed a residence that any contractor would have given his ‘eye’ teeth to build, a Frank Lloyd designed residential home on the Big Island of Hawaii. Back on track…I too, had a yearning to be creative. I made jewelry, but I wasn’t trained. I dabbled in fixing vintage necklaces that needed redesign work in order to sell them in my antique shop, but that was it. Okay, 25 years later, I’m showing up at that same market that gave me, a naïve woman with a 3 year, old hope to become an jewelry designer. Now, I may be a big fish in a little pond, but what a beautiful pond our community has created. I’m so very happy to be at “One More Show,” Saturday, December 11th.
Be there or be square. QAH
